RESEÑA HISTÓRICA

RESEÑA HISTÓRICA

En el año 1.970 el Comerciante Antioqueño, ARTURO SEPULVEDA CHICA acompañado de su esposa ELIZABETH VARGAS DEL VILLAR, llegaron al Corregimiento de Coveñas, creyendo en esta zona como potencial y destino turístico y allí fundaron  HOTEL CABAÑAS PUERTO ARTURO, encontrando una Isla Natural, constituida por Manglar. 


Construyeron en machimbre las primeras cabañas denominas ISLAS, poco a poco, y con el pasar de los años, fueron adecuando mas cabañas y habitaciones las cuales a la fecha se conservan y son administradas por su Esposa e Hijos.

Actualmente Coveñas fue constituido como Municipio.

EL HOTEL CABAÑAS PUERTO ARTURO, esta construido a la orilla de la Playa y también tiene  salida por la carretera troncal que comunica a Coveñas con el Municipio de Tolú y la Costa Atlantica.
